Session Process: Start to Finish

To begin the booking process, simply fill out the inquiry form on my website. From there, we’ll discuss your preferred dates, location ideas, and outfit options—I’m happy to help with all of it!

Once we’ve finalized the session details, you’ll receive an email with a booking link. This link will include:

  • A deposit to secure your date
  • A contract to review and sign
  • A short questionnaire to help me get to know you better

On the day of our session:

I completely understand that being in front of the camera can feel intimidating—but don’t worry! I’ll guide you through every step to make sure you feel comfortable and confident. We’ll start with some classic, smile-at-the-camera shots to warm up, then move into fun prompts to capture natural, candid moments full of emotion.

After the session:

You can expect sneak peeks within 24–48 hours (while not guaranteed, I always do my best!). Your full gallery will typically be delivered within 2 weeks, though turnaround times may vary slightly during busy seasons like spring, fall, or the holidays

Newborn Clients:

Newborn sessions take place in my studio located in downtown Ardmore, a calm and cozy space designed specifically with newborns and parents in mind.

Your baby’s safety is my top priority. For that reason, I have completed specialized newborn photography education and safety courses to ensure I am fully prepared for every session. I am APNPI certified, including newborn certification and newborn safety training, so you can feel confident that your baby is always handled with the utmost care.

Newborn sessions are baby-led and unhurried. These sessions are typically scheduled within the first 7–14 days after birth, when babies are sleepiest and most comfortable, but flexibility is always built in. Plenty of time is allowed for feeding, soothing, and diaper changes—there is never any pressure to rush.

All props, wraps, and outfits for baby are provided as part of your session. Parents only need to bring diaper bag essentials (diapers, wipes, bottles if applicable). Because I primarily focus on lifestyle newborn photography, I’m also happy to help you select the right outfits for parents and siblings to ensure everything feels cohesive, natural, and timeless. I’ll provide guidance ahead of time so your family looks beautifully coordinated without feeling overly styled.

After your session, you can expect sneak peeks within 24–48 hours (not guaranteed, but always my goal!). Your full newborn gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks, with slightly extended turnaround times possible during peak seasons.

Location Guide

The location you choose plays a big role in the overall vibe and aesthetic of your session. I’ve curated a list of some of my favorite go-to spots that work beautifully for a variety of session types. You’ll find a helpful location guide below to make choosing the perfect spot a little easier.

That said, your session is not limited to just these options! If you have a location in mind—whether it's meaningful to you or just somewhere you love—I’m always open to exploring new spots. And if nothing on the list quite fits your vision, I’m more than happy to help you find an alternative location that better matches the look and feel you’re going for.

Location 1

Located in Ardmore, OK, this is one of my most frequently used locations—and a favorite for many of my clients! This private spot offers a wide variety of beautiful backgrounds all in one place. You’ll find an open field, a tree-lined tunnel, a rustic wooden fence, and a gravel road—each adding a unique touch to your photos. If you choose to shoot here, we can easily move between these areas during your session to give you a nice mix of looks and settings.

Location 2

Located at Lake Murray, this is another very popular and frequently used location! It offers consistent shade, which makes it an ideal spot for summer sessions when the sun is strong. In the fall, the trees transform into vibrant autumn colors, creating a beautiful seasonal backdrop. Whether you’re looking for relief from the summer heat or a colorful fall setting, this spot is a great choice year-round.

Location 3

Located in downtown Ardmore, the studio is a great year-round option for a variety of sessions—small families, maternity, newborns, milestones, you name it! The space offers two main shooting options: a clean, classic white backdrop or a cozy lifestyle setup for a more relaxed and natural feel. For newborn sessions, there’s also a dedicated area designed specifically for those sweet, posed shots everyone loves. Whether you’re looking for something timeless or homey, the studio provides a comfortable and flexible space for your session.

Location 4

Downtown Ardmore is a great option for senior sessions and is one of my most commonly used spots! The area offers a variety of backgrounds all within walking distance, making it especially ideal if you're planning to bring multiple outfits. From brick walls and alleyways to staircases and colorful storefronts, there’s plenty of variety to work with. Downtown also makes a fun and unique location for couples sessions, offering a mix of urban charm and character.

Outfits for Your Session

Next to choosing your location, selecting the right outfit(s) can be one of the trickiest—but also most important—parts of preparing for your session. Whether you're planning a senior, couple, or family shoot, my biggest tip is this: wear something you feel truly comfortable in.

Choose pieces that you feel good in—not just while standing still, but also while sitting and moving around. If you're uncomfortable in your outfit, it can show in your photos!

For Family Sessions:

Start with mom’s outfit first! Once her outfit is chosen, you can build the rest of the family's outfits around hers. Outfits don’t need to match exactly—in fact, coordinating is better than matching. Think of colors and styles that complement each other, creating a cohesive and natural look.

If you ever feel stuck, I’m more than happy to help with outfit ideas or inspo boards. I want you to feel confident and look your best!

Feel free to send photos—I’m always happy to offer feedback.
